People like drama. I saw about half of 2012 and it reminded me somehow of Independence Day (I think that's the title). The Mayan 2012 calendar ends here is something new to me. Sort of an ancient Y2K. I heard a former classmate say with great confidence that they did not expect things to last much longer. Wow! Maybe it is our need to escape from the miseries of life? Or a desire to shake it up a bit. Or maybe it really is going to end shortly.
